Egg burgers
Ingredients
- Soft burger buns 2,
- halved length ways Butter 55 g (2 oz)
- Ham 2 round slices Prepared mustard
- 2 tsp Cheddar cheese
- 4 slices Cooking oil 2 Tbsp
- Eggs 2
Egg burgers are especially popular with children. They make a delicious snack, but can also be served as a light meal. Allow 2 burgers per person.

Method
- Preheat grill (broiler) to high, then lightly toast cut sides of buns until golden brown. Remove from heat. Keep grill hot.
- Spread each toasted bun half with butter, then top each bottom half with ham. Spread a little mustard over each slice of ham and cover with a slice of cheese.
- Place bun halves under hot grill for 5 minutes or until cheese has melted and turned golden brown.
- While buns are bring grilled, heat oil in a pan over moderate heat and fry eggs sunny side up or until whites are solid and yolks still runny and soft.
- Remove buns from grill and place a fried egg on each one. Top with remaining bun halves. Serve immediately.
