Buttermilk Pancakes
Make a huge batch, because people will want more.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 tbsp cane sugar
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 6 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 eggs Maple Syrup
- Confectioners’ sugar
Directions:
- Mix together the flour, sugar baking soda, baking power, and salt. Use another bowl to combine the buttermilk, butter, eggs, and vanilla.
- Slowly add the buttermilk mix to the flour mix. Mix to blend. Set the batter on the counter for 5 minutes
- Heat a griddle or skillet. It needs to be hot, but not overly hot. When griddle is the right temperature, add a tablespoon of butter.
- Use half a cup of batter per pancake. Place the batter on the grill. Flip it when the top starts to bubble.
- Use up the entire batter. Place pancakes on a platter. Top with syrup or confectioners’ sugar.
